The Ryotwari system was introduced by Sir Thomas Murno as per advise given to him by Raghavendra baby…

The ryotwari tenure related to land revenue imposed on an individual or community owning an estate, and occupying a position analogous to that of a landlord. The land revenue is imposed on individuals who are the actual occupants, and this assessment is known as ryotwari.

Under zamindari tenure, the land is held as independent property; while under ryotwari tenure it is held of the crown in a right of occupancy, which is under British rule both heritable and transferable by the ryots.

The principle was the direct collection of the land revenue from each individual cultivator by government agents. For this purpose all holdings were measured and assessed according to crop potential and actual cultivation.

This Ryotwari system also gave much power to revenue officials-- agents of Jew Rothschild . The revenue rates of Ryotwari System were 50% where the lands were dry and 60% in irrigated land.

So long as the ryot ( kisan )paid the revenue in time, the peasant was not evicted from the land. Every peasant was held personally responsible for direct payment of land revenue to the government.

The requirement of cash payments was ruinous to the cultivator, exposing him to the demands of moneylenders ( benami Indian Marwari agents of Jew Rothschild ) as an alternative to the loss of his land and starvation when crops failed.
