The word yoga finds its roots in Sanskrit, which means “to yoke” the body, mind and spirit  together into one by intertwining breathing practices and exercises.. Sanskrit ( Malayalam ) root  YOJ  meaning "to yoke or join together."

Hatha yoga and Raja yoga are two forms of yoga.  . Hatha yoga deals with the well-being of the physical body and includes all the asanas for body and mind benefits.    . Pranayama comes under Hatha yoga.   Ha means "sun" and tha means "moon."–this addresses Ida and Pingala.

Raja yoga deals with spirit and mind . It helps to get inner peace, meditation or dhyan, relief from stress which is the biggest problems in today’s life.

The different postures or asanas include:-
Lying postures
Sitting postures
Standing postures
Inverted, or upside down postures.

Long-term diabetics suffer from nerve damage due to constant high sugar levels that the body struggles to balance out. The nerve damage leads to the slowing of nerve impulses, decreased sensation, and numbness of the feet. When you follow a regular yoga schedule, your body commences responding to insulin that helps immensely in the reduction of blood glucose and it is also an excellent way to fight stress.

Marma Vidya of Shukracharya is the science of awakening the 108 marmas for yoga and healing. It involves manipulating the flow of prana in the body via yoga asana and or pressure on marma points . It is the highest stage of training within Kalari, the indigenous martial art of Kerala. .older than the Parashurama system.


The 108 marmas are also referred to as the  points of prana, found within the subtle body.  Marmas are also referred to as minor chakras.  Though they are identical in structure to the seven great chakras, they are found throughout the body rather than on the sushumna nadi (psychic channel) of the spine. 

An advanced Kalari Master can disable or kill his opponent merely by touching the correct Marma point. However, this is taught only to the most promising and level-headed persons to discourage the misuse of the technique.

Marma points are grouped according to the region of the body, Arms-22 points; legs-22 points (11 per lib); abdomen-3 points, chest – 9 points, back – points, head and neck- 37 points. The marma points are also grouped according to muscles – 10 points; tenders/ligaments – 23 points, Arteries – 9 points, Veins, joints – 20 points bones – 8 points. 

Traditionally marma points are grouped in to 3 categories: those on the legs and feet, (sanakha marma : on the trunk (Madhayamanga marma ): neck and head (jatrurdhara marma ).

The heart, forehead and throat are the most vulnerable areas of the body, whereas the areas on the arms and legs are less vulnerable to severe injury.   When imbalances exist in the body, the Marma points become sore, but through Marma Abhyanga therapy, balance can be restored.

Marma abhyanga not only relieves back pain, stiffness and sports injuries but also stimulates various bodily organs and systems.

Prana is a form of vital energy. Prana pervades each and every corner of the body, and it nourishes, guides and controls the functioning of the cell and systems. When these marma (junctions) are affected or ruptured, the organs linked with prana channels become starved with lack of prana and some organ becomes diseased, crippled or paralysed or depending upon the quantum is of prana being lost, it may lead to slow or sudden death.

They are classified for better understanding according to the physical components:--
 Mansa marma - muscle
Sira marma - vessels conveying body fluids and impulses
Sanyu - tendons
Asthi - bones
Sandhi - articulate points specially bone joints
The marma are also grouped on the basis of their similarities in the features particularly on the basis of vulnerability:

Sadhya Pranhara Marma:-   Sadhya means sudden or immediate. These marma are vulnerable for the loss of life immediately after injury or insult.

Kalantara Pranhara:-  Kalantara means after the lapse of some time, Pranhara means loss of life. After infliction to these marma, loss of life results gradually after some time.

Vishalyaghana:-   Vishalya means being the foreign body removed. This category of Marma is named on its surgical importance. Vishalyaghana indicated death being the foreign body removed. When injured the person survives as long the foreign body remains in place.

Vaikalyakara:-  Vilkala means deform or cripple. Along with their ability to kill, however, comes an ability to heal.  Wounded kalari fighters were nursed back to health with marma therapy. Practitioners used marma-point massage to stimulate healing in areas that corresponded to the soldier's injuries. 

If a warrior suffered a blow to the small intestines, for example, the marma point on the back of the calf, which corresponds directly with the upper intestine, would be massaged to trigger a healing flow of energy to the injury.

Eventually, Ayurvedic physicians around India learned of the technique's powers and brought kalari masters into hospitals to teach the art.  

Marma-point training is mandatory for Ayurvedic surgeons. The Kalari gurukkal personally  checks out any damage to ligaments after a training session.



Yoga has NO barriers. It does NOT matter how old or young you are. It does NOT matter of you are a supreme endurance athlete or a fat couch potato.   The body uses its own weight.  The idea is to explore your limits,  not strive for some pretzel-like perfection.  

"No pain, no gain" aint the yoga way.   If it hurts, stop !.  Every ancient yoga teacher was a Ayurvedic physician too.

Losing fat by yoga is NO idle boast. Medical studies have been done with every sort of modern equipment.  For belly obesity medical evaluations at 3-month intervals, with subcutaneous and visceral fat were measured between the L4 and L5 vertebrae with a 16-detector helical computer topography (CT) abdominal scanner.


Stress in the body causes cortisol levels to peak and this in turn leads to lean muscle breakdown and the accumulation of fat in the abdominal region.  There are three main stress busters: sleep, slow breath rate, and exercise- with a liberal dose of relaxation in between, only yoga understand this .

Why relaxation?.

Running like a prick ( or a twat as the case may be ) on the thread mill does little.  Many people think that getting the heart rate up through jogging is a good way to lose weight.  Modern research shows that this is a misconception, and it is not a good way to lose weight at all. It can make a stressed nervous system even more exhausted, and lead to adrenal fatigue.

What is much better for weight loss is getting the heart rate up for a very short burst and then dropping it right down, then getting it up and then dropping it down. This is what ancient yoga achieves..

In between bouts of Surya Namaskar you chill .  You stand still with gratitude in your heart with palms together and eyes closed for a few moments moment. Then repeat it again, perhaps this time making the pace a little faster.  Continue a few rounds like this and you will have your heart rate at an optimum level; without the tiring and jarring effects your body gets from jogging.

Many people have food matter (meat ) blocked up in their colon. This makes them bloated and it makes them feel like a piece of sh#t. . They fart like mad.  Severe bloating can appear as obesity.   Eventually if left untreated it can poison the blood and leads to disease. 



It is better to be a vegetarian when you do yoga, and better to have an empty stomach . Ancient Ayurveda says that  ‘disease begins in the gut.’  Some people who consume a lot of rare beef steaks struggle with a constipated colon . They should NOT do any inversions for this reason, because the putrefied blood will rush to the higher organs and it will disturb the mind.  

There can be women who look slim but whose abdominal cavity is densely padded with unhealthy visceral fat.   Fat cells that accumulate around the organs in the abdomen are much more active than the ones found in subcutaneous fat. They secrete molecules that cause inflammation. 

There is a correlation between systemic inflammation and heart disease, diabetes and atherosclerosis, which means that more visceral fat increases our risk to develop these diseases. - 30 minutes of daily yoga routine, visceral fat disappears twice as fast as subcutaneous fat. 

Body heat to burn fat is achieved by drawing the chin towards the chest in forward bends, thereby lengthening the femoral nerve and the spinal nerves as in Surya Namaskar.  This heat burns up and purifies visceral (deep) fat and subcutaneous (superficial) fat.

This sun salutation has been devised by seers--NOT pea brained modern gym coaches who have muscle between their ears . These coaches need to look inside their tiffin box to check out if they are coming or going. It is ridiculous to see these CHOOTS talk TECHIE on youtube--  mind you, this breed includes some " English Literature graduate Gurus ". 

If the body is too acidic (low pH), then the body will attempt to protect itself from the acid by storing fat and using it as a buffer.   This is extremely dangerous because the visceral fat (the kind inside the organs and blood vesicles) accumulates within the veins and arteries, narrowing the passage available for the blood and gradually obstructs the activity of the blood vessels.  


As a result, the heart is forced to overwork just to maintain the blood circulation.  If this continues to happen then the heart gets exhausted and a heart attack occurs.  This is known as arteriosclerosis. So the pH balance of the body is extremely important. The ideal pH balance is about 7.35. And most people struggling with their weight are too acidic.

People in modern offices stare at computer screens for long hours.  Some of these offices do NOT even have windows to allow natural light in ( flouting the laws of the land ) .They often feel rushed to meet deadlines and busy schedules. They breathe stale, central air-conditioned air instead of fresh, clean, oxygen-rich air.

If the nervous system is under stress then it will set of a chain reaction in the rest of the body. The body needs to be relaxed and soothed. This requires  finding the right balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, which only yoga can deliver . 

Digression:  I spAketh  about a vampire at the tea party.   

Well, all the vampires decided to hold a party. There was this huge cauldron of tea ( blood ) boiling. All vampires were dancing around the pot, conversing, exchanging notes- generally having huge fun. 

But one “non-conformist “ vampire was late.  All were discussing why this guy always has to be the odd man out , and be different from the others.

Human brain cells degenerate and die when you do hyperventilation. This is irreversible.

Most brain diseases are characterized by chronic hyperventilation, there are additional effects due to low CO2 levels in the CNS.  

As a ship Captain who commanded Chemical tankers, I know the effects of Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbob Dioxide etc on  the brain.

Hypocapnia is devastating since CO2 is a powerful relaxant or stabilizer of the nerve cells. Hyperventilation leads to "spontaneous and asynchronous firing of neurons".  

This is why white people have panic attacks, seizures, sleeping problems, anxiety breathing disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, senile dementia, Parkinson, Alzheimer disease, anxiety, panic phobia, depression, migraine, and idiopathic seizures.  

You bodies are polluted with toxic medicines with side effects.  

Anything which EVIL PHARMA does NOT know is termed genetic disease. They send their agents to deep Indian jungles and use our tribals ( with unpolluted bodies ) as lab rats. 

These conscious brain tests cannot be done on lab rats or animals. Only human beings can see in colour or can see themselves in the mirror ( leaving aside a handful of animals like chimps, dolphins , elephants etc )


Hyperventilation and abnormal electrical signals in the brain take place simultaneously.  Chest breathing results in drastic reduction of blood oxygenation since lower parts of the lungs get more than 7  times richer blood supply.  

Adverse  biochemical and immune effects of mouth/ chest breathing are too numerous and too shocking to even expound .
