THIS POST IS CONTINUED FROM PART 10 , BELOW--
PRANA MEANS THE ORIGINAL LIFE FORCE.
PRANA IS AN ENERGY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BODY’S LIFE, HEAT AND MAINTENANCE.
LACK OF PRANA MAKES YOU LOSE REM SLEEP
The Bhagavad Gita 4.27 describes the yoga of self-control as the sacrifice of the actions of the senses and of prāṇa in the fire kindled by knowledge. More generally, the conquest of the senses, the mind, and prāṇa is seen as an essential step on the yogin's path to samadhi, or indeed as the goal of yoga.
Thus for example the Malinivijayottaratantra 12.5–7 directs the seeker "who has conquered posture, the mind, prāṇa, the senses, sleep, anger, fear, and anxiety" to practise yoga in a beautiful undisturbed cave.
Prāṇa is typically divided into constituent parts, particularly when concerned with the human body. Prāṇa (inward moving energy), apāna (outward moving energy), vyāna (circulation of energy), udāna (energy of the head and throat), and samāna (digestion and assimilation).
. Prāṇa is thus the generic name for all the breaths, including the five major vāyus of prāṇa, apāna, uḍāna, samāna, and vyāna.
The Atharva Veda describes prāṇa: 'When they had been watered by Prana, the plants spake in concert: 'thou hast, forsooth, prolonged our life, thou hast made us all fragrant.' (11.4–6) 'The holy (âtharvana) plants, the magic (ângirasa) plants, the divine plants, and those produced by men, spring forth, when thou, O Prâna, quickenest them (11.4–16). 'When Prâna has watered the great earth with rain, then the plants spring forth, and also every sort of herb.' (11.4–17) 'O Prâna, be not turned away from me, thou shall not be other than myself! As the embryo of the waters (fire), thee, O Prâna, do bind to me, that I may live.' (11.4)
Vāyus, according to the Nisvasattvasamhita Nayasutra – 5000 BC
Vāyu /Location/ Responsibility
Prāṇa/Head, lungs, heart/Movement is inward and downward, it is the vital life force. Balanced prāṇa leads to a balanced and calm mind and emotions.
Apāna/ Lower abdomen/ Movement is outward and downward, it is related to processes of elimination, reproduction and skeletal health (absorption of nutrients). Balanced apāna leads to a healthy digestive and reproductive system.
Udāna/ Diaphragm, throat/Movement is upward, it is related to the respiratory functions, speech and functioning of the brain. Balanced udāna leads to a healthy respiratory system, clarity of speech, healthy mind, good memory, creativity, etc.
Samāna/ Navel/ Movement is spiral, concentrated around the navel, like a churning motion, it is related to digestion on all levels. Balanced samāna leads to a healthy metabolism.
Vyāna/ Originating from the heart, distributed throughout/ Movement is outward, like the circulatory process. It is related to circulatory system, nervous system and cardiac system. Balanced vyāna leads to a healthy heart, circulation and balanced nerves.
Vedanta describes prana flowing in nadis (channels), though the details vary. The Brhadaranyaka Upanishad (2.I.19) mentions 72,000 nadis in the human body, running out from the heart, whereas the Katha Upanishad (6.16) says that 108 channels radiate from the heart.
The Vinashikhatantra (140–146) explains the most common model, namely that the three most important nadis are the Ida on the left, the Pingala on the right, and the Sushumna in the centre connecting the base chakra to the crown chakra, enabling prana to flow throughout the subtle body.
When the soul is fragmented and mind is agitated due to our interactions with the world at large, the physical body also follows in its wake. These agitations cause violent fluctuations in the flow of prana in the nadis.
Many pranayama techniques are designed to cleanse the nadis, allowing for greater movement of prana. Other techniques may be utilized to arrest the breath for samadhi or to bring awareness to specific areas in the practitioner's subtle or physical body
The physical goals of pranayama may be to recover from illness or the maintenance of health, while its mental goals are: to remove mental disturbances and make the mind focused for meditation..

BG 4.27: Some, inspired by knowledge, offer the functions of all their senses and their life energy in the fire of the controlled mind.
All the activities of sense organs and the organs of action as well as the objects of the senses together with the functions of the prana are offered into the knowledge-kindled fire of right understanding i.e. meditation which is one-pointed discriminative wisdom. The idea conveyed here is that by stopping all activities, the masters concentrate the mind on the Self.
WHEN THE BODY HAS HIGH PRANA, THE HIGH FREQUENCY SOUL CAN TRAVEL ASTRALLY AND THEM REJOIN THE CADAVER BODY BACK
SAVITUR GIVES US PRANA.. THIS ENERGY TRAVELS FASTER THAN LIGHT, INSTANTANEOUS..
The Gayatri Mantra in Sanskrit is the most chanted prayer on the planet , chanted since the Vedas were downloaded 400 centuries ago from akasha by Kerala Danava Maharishis with 12 strand DNA ( nil junk ) and king sized pineal glands ..
Scalar light energy PRANA from Quasar Savitur reaches the earths atmosphere instantaneously.. Savitur is substratum of the cosmos.. Our consciousness is a cosmic DVD player. Consciousness becomes energy and then transforms to matter.. Consciousness is the creative force of the entire universe. The entire universe is in fact a single living conscious organism with complete awareness of itself. Not only is consciousness responsible for the physical universe and its elements-- it is the universe.
The field of consciousness contains information about everything that has happened since the dawn of time. Our bodies are piezo-electric bio-crystals, resonant transducers of living light and life force. We have unlimited access to the radiant field of consciousness which is infinite active universal intelligence ( mahat/ brahman, the hindu Advaita Vedanta god which cannot be picked up by our 5 sense ).
It is impossible to know both the position and momentum of a quantum object. When one measures the position of an electron it will destroy information about the electrons momentum; your observation disturbs it . All this is lifted from the Vedas.. The Dharma chakra ( wheel ) on our national flag has 24 spokes.. Gayatri mantra ( mantra for Saraswati ) has 24 syllables..
When reciting Gayatri mantra each syllable has an attached mudra, each mudra is dedicated to a maharishi –which makes the utterance super-potent .. Nadis are channels through which prana flows - mudras direct the flow of prana ..
Attached with each mudra there are subtle movements and breathing patterns involving nostril air flow ( swara yoga ) and diaphragm movement ( modulating phrenic nerves )..In the thorax, each phrenic nerve supplies the mediastinal pleura and pericardium.. “Gayatri Chandhas” (meter). This chandhas has 3 padas ( iambic dimeter lines ) and each pada has 8 syllables with a total of 24 syllables-- octosyllabic feet
HINDUS HAS OFTEN PROPPED UP “MEN WITHOUT EGO” AS GODS AND GURUS — MENTALLY DISEASED MEN , WHOSE SOUL VIBRATIONS ARE VERY LOW, AND WHOSE AURAS ARE RIDDLES WITH BLACK HOLES LEAKING OUT PRANA.–
THESE ARE CLINICAL CASES OF DEPRESSION -THEY ARE NOT JIVAN MUKTS
The power of the Sanskrit Mantra is in the sound, not the meaning, which is to instill a sense of gratitude ..According to Vedic astrology, the light ( Prana ) from this galactic source QUASARS has a special influence upon Earth. It nourishes and sustains intelligence in human beings. All that exists in the three worlds rests in the control of prana.
As a mother protects her children, O prana, protect us and give us splendor and wisdom…—Prashna Upanishad 2.13- 5000 BC…SWARA YOGA which was not written down 7000 year ago, DEALS WITH –PRANA , LIFE FORCE.
PRANA IS THE CONNECTING LINK BETWEEN THE BODY AND THE MIND. THE BODY AND THE MIND HAVE NO DIRECT CONNECTION. THEY ARE CONNECTED THROUGH PRANA ALONE.
The objective of YOGAs deep diaphragmatic PRANAYAMA breathing training is to restore proper breathing biochemistry (CO2 levels), establish proper rhythm of breathing (reducing breath holding), lower respiratory rate, increase breathing depth, transfer the focus of breathing from chest to diaphragm, encourage nasal breathing, relax diaphragm during exhalation, reduce accessory muscle activity, and establish a high vagal tone..
Deep diaphragmatic breathing exercises (e.g. PRANAYAMA breathing) can enhance parasympathetic (inhibit neural responses) tone, decrease sympathetic (excitatory) nervous activity, improve respiratory and cardiovascular function, decrease the effects of stress, and improve physical and mental health..
The MMMMMM generates Nitric Oxide–the magic molecule.. The BHRAMARI PRANAYAMA breathing technique derives its name from the black Indian bumblebee called Bhramari. Bhramari pranayama is effective in instantly calming down the mind and it is INSTANT DESTRESS .
Ensure that you are not putting your finger inside the ear but on the cartilage.. It is a simple to do breathing technique and can be practiced anywhere at work or home..
In Bhramari Pranayama the exhalation sound is very resembles to the humming sound of a bee. Not so bright children score better marks in exams.. Nitric Oxide is produced by epithelial cells in the paranasal sinuses. . Lack of prana makes you lose REM SLEEP..
TANTRA deals with –Quantum Ionic Electrical charge.. Both SWARA YOGA and PRANAYAMA deal with Prana. They involven techniques to redirect, tone and control prana– and make the three and a half coiled snake of Kundalini wake up and HISSSSSSSS..
Swara Yoga yokes PRANA with the cosmic life force of AAKASHA ( Zero Point Field-ZPF ). SWAR etymologically means ‘the sound of one’s own breath’. YOG means ‘union’.
Swara Yogis can stop their heart beat and then make it race to three times the normal.. The movement of prana can be controlled by finger tips ( no need for acupunture needles ) and by manipulation of the breath ( dominant nostril ) and human INTENTION.
There is more to MUDRA than meets the eye.. A Swara Yogi can control the Prana through Pingala and mind through Ida. His body has a golden aura with all 7 colours VIBGYOR enclosed within .
When the left nostril is open, it is the lunar energy, Ida Nadi that is flowing and when the right nostril is flowing, the solar energy or Pingala nadi flows.. Modern circadian rhythm say that the nostrils alternate in dominance every 1 ½ to 2 hours. Flight fatigue ( Jet lag ) is loss of Prana.
When one nostril is dominating the opposite side brain lobe is dominant.. Swara yoga is sruti.. This means there was no author like Vedas-- picked up by seers in their trances from aakasha..
It was in the form of Parvati asking her husband Shiva questions on prana.. Shiva responds telling her to keep it a secret.. Shiva tells Parvati –take your pick– he tells her to choose anyone of the 108 methods..
YOGA IS SUPPRESSION WITH AWARENESS; TANTRA IS INDULGENCE WITH AWARENESS..
THE ENTIRE COSMOS IS A MANIFESTATION OF PRANA.
Lord Shiva gives his wife Parvati most profound methods of centering oneself using a lover ( this is NOT sex) , achieving pure awareness, quantum entrainment, consciousness , prana amplification , focusing the mind like a laser beam using Bose condensate method , the meaning of OM, channeling the breath for Nitric oxide boost, the alpha / theta frequency states, nadis, bindu of Sri Yantra geometry , shabda brahman, advaita brahmAn , raising kundalini, the chakras, mudras, tattwas, delusions of Maya, core of Shakti , shifting dominant nostril etc etc – ..
All this is beyond the intelligence of FAKE homosexuality pushing Padma Vibhushan gurus for whom Rothschild has opened out hundeds of branches abroad..
The modern man is NOT intelligent enough or perceptive enough to understand the ancient Tantra—which has been reduced to sex and perversion.. A swara yogi , the ULTIMATE master of prana can produce a male child –or he can produce a criminal or a still born — or a deformed baby –such is his power ..
This is why Shiva Swarodaya ( swara yoga ) was not penned down in 5000 BC when all rest srutis were written down.. By practising swara yoga, the store of prana can be increased, thereby activating the latent areas of the brain. .
Pranayama is the methodology of breathing and controlling prana through various breathing techniques, while swara yoga is the science that deals with the pranaic rhythms by analyzing the type of breath.. The science of brain breathing is known as SWARA YOGA..
The two hemispheres of our brain do not work in a synchronised way. When the left (the analytical, rational and logical brain) is working at full speed, the right side (the synthetic, irrational and intuitive brain) slows, and vice versa..
ONLY SWARA YOGIS KNOW HOW TO USE 100% OF THEIR BRAINPOWER.. REST OF US CAN USE ONLY 3 %..
Breath is the secret why ancient yogis could sit in ice and melt it around them–or go for weeks without drinking water .. A Swara Yogi can produce a CHAMPION child or a MONSTER by electrically charging his semen — such was the power that it was decided not to pen it down 7000 ways ago..
The ancient rishis called the negative flow Ida and the positive flow Pingala. The maharishis of yore knew the techniques to channelize bio-energy or prana throughout the body. .
Ida rules the left nostril. Pingala rules the right nostril. When we breathe in and out primarily through our left nostril we have to know that it is Ida that is functioning. When we breathe in and out through our right nostril it is Pingala that is functioning. And when both of the nostrils are functioning satisfactorily we have to know that it is Sushumna that is playing its role.
It also happens at times that Ida breathes in and Pingala breathes out. Ida, Pingala and Sushumna meet together at six different places. Each meeting place forms a centre. Each centre is round like a wheel. Indian spiritual philosophy calls these centres chakras. They are also called lotuses, because they look like lotuses.
The six centres, as perhaps you know, are Muladhara, Svadhisthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha and Ajna. There is also another chakra that is inside the brain, called Sahasrara. Because it is in the brain, and not along the spinal column, it is not counted with the other six centres.
Ida is associated with the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which sends impulses to the visceral organs to stimulate the internal processes. This creates a general state of relaxation in the superficial muscles, thus lowering the outer body temperature.
Ida is cooling, relaxing and introverting. Pingala is the transmitter of prana Shakti.. Pingala energy activates the physical body and externalizes awareness. It is associated with the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), which releases adrenaline to stimulate the superficial muscles..
The SNS prepares the body to cope with stress and external activity; for example, it makes the heart beat rapidly and heats the body. Pingala is energizing, heating and extroverting. Just as electrical power is at our disposal by connecting a switch to the main power line, so the rishis knew how to connect the switches and circuits of energy in the body.
Throughout the human body are 108 secret Marma points that are used for healing in Ayurveda ( or to destroy in Kalari ) . .
THE KALARI “AASAN” WAS A RARE PRANA GRANDMASTER , WHO COULD BOTH KILL AND HEAL A PERSON WITH A TOUCH..
Marmas are used therapeutically in Ayurveda/ Kalari to bring in a shift of consciousness in the cells. Yoga is an alchemical process of balancing and transforming energies of the psyche. .
At the root of vata, pitta and kapha are its subtle counterparts called prana, tejas and ojas. Unlike the doshas, which in excess create diseases, these promote health, creativity and well-being..
Marmas literally are control points, where prana can enter and be directed. Physically, marma point locations are where tendons, bones, muscles, joints, veins, nerves, and other tissues meet anatomically. Energetically, marmas are extremely subtle points where the physical and divine energetic realms intersect in the human body.
They’re also identified as neurolymphatic points, stimulating the removal of lymph and enhancing the efficiency of the body’s organs.. They are where vata, pitta and kapha doshas come together. There are 108 marma points in Kalari and Ayurveda.. Prana must constantly be flowing through our Nadis, or energy channels/meridians..
Marma points are located along these Nadis.. The bandhas function as energy locks to direct prana/energy.. . When they are released, prana immediately begins to flow through sushumna nadi, whcich leads to increased receptivity of the mind and in turn higher experiences.
Remember, these so-called knots are in the psychic body, not in the physical body, but physical manipulations such as bandhas can unlock them. Shiva and his wife Shakti are the characters in SANKHYA vedanta..From the unmanifest prana of pure awareness comes the manifest prana of creation, through which the entire universe comes into being.
There is no SEMEN here.
Tantra affirms that the creative force of the universe resides in all the 54 letters of the alphabet ( Sanskrit) . Tantra stands for deep experiences. Anything experienced can be transcended; anything suppressed can never be transcended. We can live for many weeks without food, days without water, minutes without air, but not even for a fraction of a second without prana.
WHEN PRANA IS DEAD THE SOUL STOPS EXCITING THE HEART. WHEN PRANA EBBS FROM A HUMAN AT A DISTANCE HALF WAY ACROSS THE GLOBE, MY WIFE WHO DOES DISTANT REIKI KNOWS ..
Scalar waves generated in the body via mobiius coils provide an energetic communication system that connects all cells. This PRANA energy contains the power of the universe and has unlimited potential.
SHIVA WIFE PARVATI ( KALI ) IN HER DESTRUCTIVE MODE ( KALI ) IS A BLACK HOLE WHICH DEVOURS ENTIRE GALAXIES IN SECONDS..
A JIVAN MUKT WILL NOT KEEP QUIET OF SOME STRANGER PISSES ON HIS WIFEs FACE.
ALL OUR ANCIENT MAHARISHIS WERE JIVAN MUKTS–WOULD THEY ALLOW ANYBODY TO PISS ON THEIR WIFEs FACE ?
All the paths of yoga are based on controlling prana.. Karma yoga, or service, is based on alignment with the divine will, gives us more prana, not only to act outwardly, but for inner development.
Hatha yoga itself is mainly concerned with prana; yoga postures occur as an expression of pranic movement, and many great yogis learned yoga postures not through mechanical practice, but through the power of their awakened prana.
The Vedas say, we are all under the control of prana.. The prana in us gives us life and allows us to act. We must learn to be open to and welcome this greater force and seek to bring it more fully into our life and actions. This is one of the greatest secrets of yoga.
The five triangles are the five jnanendriyas (jnana means “knowledge”; indriyas means “the senses”), the five karmendriyas (motor organs), and the five pranas (breathing activities). The bindu at the center is the symbol of the balanced soul.
This power is called Indra in Vedic thought, the foremost of the Vedic deities,. Indra is NOT a mortal but a cosmic allegory
Mantras can work to hold and sustain our prana. Prana, is the spirit of mantra. Mantra in turn is the expression of prana.
THE HARDEST JOB NEVER SAPPED MY ENERGY..
WHEN YOU GET OFF THE BED WITH A SENSE OF PURPOSE, NOTHING IN LIFE IS DREARY ..
SURYANAMSAKAR INCREASES PRANA
Surya Namaskar is NOT a mere physical exercise along with soaking in Vitamin D .
IT RELEASES NITRIC OXIDE AND ALSO GIVES A MASSAGE TO YOUR VAGUS NERVE, DUE TO THE DEEP DIAPHRAGMATIC BELLY BREATHING INVOLVED.
If you ever take the time to observe the breath and the manner in which the air flows in and out of the nostrils, you will notice that most of the time respiration takes place through one nostril only. It appears that respiration occurs through both nostrils simultaneously, but this is not so.
When you observe the breath, you will find that one nostril usually remains open for a certain duration of time and the breath comes and goes through that side only. Later this nostril closes and the alternate nostril opens.
What does this mean? Physiologically, it has a particular effect on the nervous system, producing a certain type of stimulus. Furthermore, it has a specific influence on the brain which requires very systematic regulation.
According to the swara shastras, by analysis of the breath deeper understanding of the cosmos is unfolded and the wisdom revealed within the Vedas can be realized. Through knowledge of the swara, a sadhaka can become a perfected yogi.
Effects of swara yoga are also very subtle. It aims at directly awakening the highest human potential. Swara yoga is a path which leads to total experience and awakening of the entire being.
The energy flows created by the left and right swaras act something like the positive and negative currents in an electrical circuit. The left swara is the negative line, while the right is the positive. When the right nostril is flowing, it is said that pingala stimulates the body. When the left nostril is flowing, ida stimulates the mental faculties.
During the time when the swara is alternating, both nostrils become active simultaneously. Then sushumna nadi is said to stimulate the atma or spiritual potential. But this usually occurs only during the period of changeover for a couple of minutes.
When a person is calm and relaxed, the pranic emanations are steady and elongated.
But when the person becomes anxious, the aura becomes flared and jagged.
Swara yogis devised different practices to increase the pranic capacity and pranic field or aura. These practices enable us to perceive the subtlety of our existence in relation to the universe.
THE SOUL OF MAHARISHI SWARA YOGIS COULD EXIT THE BODY ( LIVING ) –TAKE A ASTRAL FLIGHT , RE-ENTER THE BODY AND ENERGISE IT BACK TO NORMAL .
THIS BODY FROM WHICH THE SOUL EXITED FOR ASTRAL FIGHT HELD ENOUGH PRANA TO KEEP SPINNING THE CHAKRAS AND MAINTAIN AN AURA
All the ancient Vedic texts refer to the subtle and vital life giving force called prana, which is described as being similar in nature to lightning. Solely due to prana, the whole universe exists and without its presence no creature can live.
Although prana exists in the air and in all forms of matter, it is neither of the two. Nor is prana the breath, but it is contained within the breath, being a part of the swara.
Prana maintains all organic life. Just as a battery stores electrical energy, so it is essential for every organism to store prana in order to enable activity and mobility.
Maharishis with high prana levels and high soul vibrations keep their hand on someones head to transfer prana. Prana can be transferred by a chakra to chakra hug.
By practising swara yoga, the store of prana can be increased, thereby activating the latent areas of the brain. Swara yoga directly controls the input and output of prana, enabling us to regulate our whole physiological system. ..
Discovery of Kirlian photography has enabled scientists to actually see the corona of these fields. Maharishis who could see auras were well aware of the principles of energy fields without requiring the aid of modern technology.
SAHASRARA CHAKRA HAS 20 LAYERS OF 50 PETALS.. IT DENOTES A JIVANMUKT WHOSE KUNDALINI HAS BEEN RAISED TO CROWN CHAKRA WITH MAXIMUM SOUL FREQUENCY..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFbRpbgf0xI
IN SANSKRIT AND MALAYALAM SAHASRARA MEANS THOUSAND..
Prana is the companion of Atman, the soul. Prana lies with the soul at the heart center. The soul is the silent experiencer that perceives the physical world through the working of Prana; it enters and leaves the body with the Prana.
Again, Based on the flow of Prana in a particular region of the body, Prana can be divided into 5 vayus named Prana Vayu, Apana Vayu, Samana Vayu, Udana Vayu, and Vyana Vayu. These 5 are the major division of ‘Prana’ combinedly called the Pancha Pranas.
Apana Vayu flows in the opposite direction of prana vayu, i.e., in the downward direction. Generally, pranayama is aimed to redirect Apana Vayu to the higher energy centres and restrict its unnecessary flow out of the body. Its location is in Muladhara Chakra.
The main function of Apana Vayu is the elimination of waste as feces, gas, and urine. At the time of childbirth, Apana Vayu helps to create a smooth passageway for delivery. Other than this, Apana Vayu is also responsible for sexual stimulation, ejaculation & monthly menstrual cycle for women.
Samana means ‘equal’ (Equal in the sense of ‘Balancing’). It occupied between the working areas of prana & Apana Vayu. It hasn’t any movement in an upward or downward direction, but it works only in the navel region. Samana vayu focuses on the ‘fire element’ of the body and hence, stimulates Manipura Chakra.
It is responsible for energy utilized in the digestion process and working of digestive organs like the stomach, liver, large intestine. Samana vayu is both heating and cooling in nature which regulates the digestion process.
An imbalance of Samana Vayu can disturb the appetite of a person which brings weakness in the body. Moreover, it affects metabolism deficiency in the body.
in samana we have the tantric principle of two opposite forces, one negative, the other positive, being brought together in order to explode the creative potential of the nucleus.
After the middle breath another vayu action occurs, udana, which is said by the Maitri Upanishad to “bring up and carry down what has been eaten”. Udana is called the ‘up breath’ and is specifically located in the throat and face enabling swallowing, facial expression and speech. It is also responsible for maintaining the strength in every muscle.
When prana and apana unite with samana, it is udana which moves up and finally “passes through the tenth gate (sahasrara chakra) towards the higher worlds”.
Under normal circumstances udana carries prana from samana to the fifth vayu, vyana. Vyana spreads prana throughout the whole body, regulating and circulating food nutrients, fluids and energy. It holds all the parts of the body together and resists disintegration of the body. When prana moves, it is followed by samana, both creating apana, assisted by udana.
The four actions produce vyana, but at the same time they cannot exist without the presence of vyana. Thus these five pranas are very intricately linked. It is said that at the time of death, when prana involutes upon itself, the vital functions of the mind and senses, which represent aspects of the pranic expressions, all withdraw into vyana. It means all the pranas are interdependent but integrated by vyana.
Decrease in the vital capacity of any vayu causes contraction of the pranic body, while increase causes expansion. The mind and emotions utilize prana and the pranic body is greatly influenced by states of mind.
Negative thoughts lower the prana and exhaust your mind whereas positive thoughts enhance the prana and frame of mind.
Through the practice of swara yoga we become aware of the mutual interaction between prana and mind and learn to live and work in coordination with the pranas rather than against them.
According to swara yoga, left nostril breathing influences the activities of manas shakti, and indicates that introversion and mental creativity predominate so that any extremely dynamic or extrovert activity should be avoided. The swara yogi thus manipulates the flow of air in the left nostril in order to control ida directly and either bring about its influence at will or suppress it when necessary.
Pingala is the transmitter of prana shakti.. Pingala energy activates the physical body and externalizes awareness. It is associated with the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), which releases adrenaline to stimulate the superficial muscles.
The SNS prepares the body to cope with stress and external activity; for example, it makes the heart beat rapidly and heats the body. Therefore, it is said that pingala is energizing, heating and extroverting.
Pranayama is a yoga of breath , just one of the several methods , used to awaken the Kundalini – or rather disturb Shakti serpent from its deep slumber at the Mooladhara chakra at the bottom of your spine using heat. Originating in Muladhara chakra , the Ida nadi ends up in the left nostril and the Pingala nadi ends up in the right nostril.
Once awakened feminine Shakti is eager to mate with her male consort Shiva at the Sahasrara chakra on top of your head . Most human beings on this planet have never awakened the divine serpent of three and a half coils , and have led base , crude lives and passed on.
What a waste.
The serpent has 3 choices of pathway- the ida, the pingala or the central sushumna. If it passes via ida or pingala the serpent is likely to get stuck at some intermediate chakra ( due to block ) causing extreme trauma, as what happened to Pandit Gopikrishna ..
When the right nostril is flowing, the left hemisphere of the brain is activated. When the left nostril is flowing, the right hemisphere is activated.
Moving from macrocosmic to microcosmic to atomic, at every level, two great principles or forces can be seen at work motivating our universe.
Conscious = induction + deduction ( determines what is to be done ). LEFT BRAIN LOBE ( for right handers ) : Numbers, written language, reasoning, spoken language, scientific skills , RH control
Subconscious = only deduction ( no thinking , draws conclusions, does not care for right or wrong, gives the power to do the job ) RIGHT BRAIN LOBE ( for right handers ): Insight, 3D forms , art, imagination, music, left hand control.
The central nervous system does not know the difference between visualization and the event. Visualizing you are having sex and doing the real thing has the same standing “ovation effect” on a man or a “creaming effect” on a woman.
The picture in our mind has an impact on every cell in our bodies. Thinking is not an action of the mind , but an action of our entire body. Tell your subconscious what you want repeatedly and it will produce it. You can call this visualization or intention. In India people realized this and more and more people started going the spiritual way for bliss.
Pranayama is not only an instrument to balance the mind, but also the gateway to concentration – dharana. Once the new light of knowledge has dawned through the practice of pranayama, the mind is fit and knowledgeable to move on towards the realisation of the soul. .
Practise concentration till the mind is well- established on the object of concentration. When the mind runs away from the object of concentration bring it back again to the object The idol in a temple is an object to focus your mind on. .
.When the mind is able to concentrate and the senses no longer pester the mind for their satiation. They lose interest in the tastes and flavours of their respective objects, and are drawn back from the external world in order to help the mind in its inner quest. This is pratyahara. This is the basis of the path to renunciation. .
In pratyahara, the senses are directed inwards, towards the realisation of the soul. Pratyahara is the withdrawal of the mind from its contact with the senses of perception and organs of action; then its direction is towards the soul. . It is the beginning of man’s return journey towards his Maker.
Anyone whose periods of meditation alternate with periods of sensory indulgence is in need of pratyahara. Pratyahara offers many methods of preparing the mind for meditation. It also helps us avoid environmental disturbances that are the source of psychological pain.
Pratyahara is a marvelous tool for taking control of our lives and opening up to our inner being. It is no wonder some great yogis have called it “the most important limb of yoga.” .
One of the most common practices for Pratyahara is Pranayama, wherein we automatically withdraw from the external and bring our focus inwards towards our breath, as connection with the external senses and stimuli are all severed gradually.
At the advanced levels, the currents which pulsate through the nerves and even the involuntary muscles are turned off by the practitioner..The mind becomes more calm now. ..
When the mind is rendered pure and one-pointed and when it is turned inwards towards the Purusha, then and then alone supreme control of all organs follows. ..He who has mastery over Pratyahara will never complain of Vikshepa or distraction of mind.
He can sit in a place in a busy city where four roads meet and meditate whenever he likes. He does not want a cave for meditation. Just as the tortoise draws in on all sides its limbs, so also, the Yogi withdraws all his senses from the objects of sense through the practice of Pratyahara.
Pratyahara gives power to the practitioner. When the Indriyas are withdrawn from the objects, then you can fix the mind on a particular point. Pratyahara and Dharana are interdependent. You cannot practise one without the other..
