The move came after Trump maintained the CSR payments for the first eight months of his presidency.
Cost-sharing reduction payments (CSR’s) that the Obama regime used to pay kosher insurance companies to subsidize their quickly failing nationalized health plan—and that President Obama had to pay for by stealing billons-of-dollars from his nations mortgage loan providers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac whose investors he defrauded.
After the failure by Republicans to repeal and replace Obamacare, The CSR payments were long disputed, with the Republican-controlled House of Representatives suing the Obama administration saying that the payments were illegal since they were being appropriated by the executive branch instead of Congress.
A federal court ruled in favor of the House, but the Obama administration appealed the ruling, allowing the CSR payments to continue.
The cost sharing reductions (CSR) subsidy is the smaller of two subsidies paid under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) as part of the healthcare system in the United States.
The subsidies were paid from 2013 to 2017 to insurance companies on behalf of eligible enrollees in the ACA ( affordable care act ) to reduce co-payments and deductibles.
President Trump's argument that the CSR payments were a "bailout" for greedy kosher insurance companies who want a tilted playing field in their favour and therefore should be stopped,
ObamaCare requires insurers to provide assistance on copays and deductibles to consumers with certain exchange plans who earn less than 250% of the poverty level. Insurers lose money with this deal, obviously — but the CSR payments effectively reimbursed them for those losses.
In December 2017, Congress repealed ObamaCare’s individual mandate penalty — which fined Americans for not purchasing insurance
Democrats say that, without a penalty, healthy people would drop out of the exchanges.
